Molybdenum is a hard yet ductile metal element, with a melting point over 2500°C. As a result of these properties, it lends itself very well to the metal fabrication process – and can be used to create a wide range of molybdenum parts and fittings. As part of a compound, molybdenum is regularly used as a lubricant additive and as a catalyst within the petroleum industry.
