The first and most important characteristic of molybdenum sheets is their incredible melting point, which, at 2896K, is the sixth-highest melting point of any known element. Molybdenum TZM sheets also sport an increased recrystallization temperature compared to pure molybdenum sheets, and are frequently used in industry in situations where extremely high melting points must meet increased mechanical strength, such as in jet engines and satellite construction.
